man made forest muffie shannen

nteresting ride, then drive your way thru Man Made Forest of Bohol. The chocolate hills are the main Bohol tourist attraction. But before you get there, one passes the man made forest.
The Bohol Forest is a man-made mahogany forest stretching in a two-kilometer stretch of densely planted Mahogany trees located in the border of Loboc and Bilar towns. Before and after this man-made forest are the naturally grown forests of Loboc and Bilar which are thick with a kaleidoscope of green foliage, different species of trees and giant ferns lining the road.

aquarium fish

gold fish

japanese koi fish

We always pass this strolling pet store in Pedro Gil after office hours. Goldfish, Fighting fish, Japanese Koi, Salamander, Snake (?), Eel are just some of the fish they sell. I bought a pair of Japanese Koi and Lhet had a Salamander, a lizard looking animal with black skin but have an orange bottom.

After that incident I bought another two pairs of these nice looking carp and a water filter and a big aquarium, I always want one! Then my dad added four golden aquarium animal but it is not a gold fish! He forgot what it’s called..

My brother is always checking if my fishes are dead so I researched how to keep a Japanese Koi! I learned that keeping a Koi as a pet started in Japan and it is not known as Japanese Koi but a colorful carp and always mistaken as a goldfish. I also learned that my fishes had different names depending on their color, maybe mine is Kohaku since it is the most common variety. I will post another article regarding this topic but the names are like Anime.

One thing I noticed is that they like to eat and my father divulge them in their eating habits! Then I learned that my pets have no stomachs. What they do have are expandable small intestines. Also further researched, they are the pigs of water simply because they love and eat anything. They can consume up to 2% of its body weight a day. One day they will grow as big as one feet he he..

I want to have a fish in the house because I believe that they are lucky! In fact, the Chinese word for fish sounds similar the word for ’surplus’ or ‘abundance’.  It would also be great if I can set up my own pond for them, not now. When they multiply a lot and can’t fit on the big aquarium!

I added thirteen Shinbunkin fish, they are more likely to be recognize as gold fish.vOne amazing thing about them is when they are hungry they tend to follow anyone who walks  or pass by on the aquarium, very clever! Speaking of survival he he..
