chocolate hills forever friends

The Chocolate Hills are probably Bohol’s most famous tourist attraction. They look like giant mole hills,The chocolate hills consist of are no less than 1268 hills . They are very uniform in shape and mostly between 30 and 50 meters high. They are covered with grass, which, at the end of the dry season, turns chocolate brown. From this color, the hills derive their name. At other times, the hills are green, and the association may be a bit difficult to make.
Legend has it that the hills came into existence when two giants threw stones and sand at each other in a fight that lasted for days. When they were finally exhausted, they made friends and left the island, but left behind the mess they made. For the more romantically inclined is the tale of Arogo, a young and very strong giant who fell in love with an ordinary mortal girl called Aloya. After she died, the giant Arogo cried bitterly. His tears then turned into hills, as a lasting proof of his grief.

After a long journey from the port, our first stop was the Sagbayan Peak. We were welcome by a dinosaur which was complimenting Jay Vee’s outfit he he.. And there are lots of man size statue of Disney characters.
Sagbayan Peak is same with the Chocolate Hills except that it has a view on the sea horizon and a very few hills but you still need to visit this place!

Cute Fish

After visiting the Book Latte of Sir Woody (my very effective prof when I was still reviewing for ECE board exam) and had the best coffee in town! Me with my girl friends Chelly and Aileen, had a blast exploring this man made Ocean Park!

I became really interested with fishes after me and my dad kept a few fishes such as Japanese Koi, Shinbunkin and Black Molly.

Ok, let’s go back! We started by walking on this nice garden and welcomed by these huge fishes that I think is five to six feet! And we were able to touch a Star Fish. When we got inside, there still more colorful fishes such as Razor Fish, Long Spined Tripod Fish, Giant Spider Crab, Long Horn Cowfish, Porcupine Fish, Flashlight Fish (they really glow!), Lipstick Tang, Eel, Sharks and a lot more that I can’t memorized all their names!

They had these amazing fishes that I never know that exist! One of the best part is we had this foot spa served by the fishes, nice!

Three years ago, our journey began
Chasing down this cure, no plan in hand
Just your pulse, my racing guide in the dark
Just knowing with conviction from the start
Effortless at the top of the hill!

Effortless at the top of the hill!

The moment your eyes made an introduction
I felt my second violent breath of life
Flawless to the point of being godly
Yet I fell hard for your imperfections

Sunset

And now we’re slightly weathered, we’re slightly worn
Our hands grip together, eye to eye through the storm, yet
I still believe in ever after with you, yeahhhhh
Cuz life is a pleasure with you by my side,
And there ain’t no current in this river we can’t ride
I still believe in ever after with you
At Lumot River

Nothing compares to the good times
Feels like we’re floating, when the rest have to climb
You made me believe in love, and not the perfect kind
A real messy beautiful twisted sunshine

Emotions, volcanic eruptions
We both still care, so we’re still alive
Tunnel vision, determination
I want you, I want to make it right

Professional Regulation Commission

Friday, June 19th, 2009

‘Get all of your profession related services and questions taken care of by going to a page that applies only to your profession.’ by Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

June 11, 2009, I had my vacation leave so that I can attend to renewing of my Electronics and Communications Engineer (ECE) License, it’s about to expire on my birthday. So me and my friend Chelly had this date. I woke up very excited, prior to that I already prepared and printed a PDF form from Professional Regulation Commission and prepare for the necessary requirements such as photocopy of ECE License card etc..

I am a late but Chelly didn’t mind so we walked excitedly while chatting and as we entered the gate we noticed that that there was a long line everywhere. According to the procedure we can directly go to Window 16 but there is a heavy line so we waited and chat more. When our time had come, the lady told us that we should get a form from Information Area, okeyyyy! Downloadable file from their site is invalid! Who posted that thing!

Nevertheless, since it’s still early and I am in my ‘good’ mood, we went back and get the form in Information Area. This guy gave us a back to back long bond paper form,

‘It’s the new law from ECE, according to the old guy from Info Area.

‘Uhh, hello! Sir we are going to renew our license not to have an oath taking?!’

Still the guy insisted and gave us a direction to go back to Window 16, so we filled up the form. And when we checked the requirements, we were short of 1×1 picture, notarized form, brown envelop, tax certificate, and 2 stamp from the Window which almost 50+ people are waiting!

‘Putik! Why do I need to notarized this thing and have this stamped?!’

So we went outside to complete the out-of-this-world requirements. Got back to long line of Windows 16. And finally!

‘You need a good standing from Institute of Electronics and Communications Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP), it’s in the Ever Recto’ said the lady from Window 16.

‘Whhaaatttt?!’

Again, what is a ‘Good Standing’ from IECEP for? Are we in ‘Bad Standing’?! Is this a scam because I never heard that we need a Good Standing from anyone who renewed their license? Since it’s almost lunch time, we decided to go to Ever Recto and asked the Good Standing from IECEP. We met this guy who guarded the IECEP booth.

‘Yes, you can get a Good Standing in here with a three year membership from IECEP worth P 1,050.’

‘Hallerrr!’

What is this guy talking about? I am just going to renew my license; I am not going to take an exam or something! If government agency will not change might as well gave back the taxes we religiously pay monthly!

So after thinking if we still push through this renew of license, we paid the membership fee and get the d@mn Good Standing! FYI, I asked the guy what’s the benefits as a member of IECEP..

‘Training and seminars.’

All of my college day I was a member of IECEP and it was like there was a training once a year and you have to buy a ticket to attend and get the membership card after waiting for how many months.

We did continue to go back to Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), after waiting again for Window 16, the guy told us that we can go to Window 27. The lady in Window 27 told us that we should go to Window 15 so we went to Window 15, then after talking to person in charge he instructs us to go back in Window 16! This is really great! I was more exhausted than having a very very very toxic day in office.

Finally, we were able to talk to the lady in Window 16 and confirmed that the requirements is complete except for the fee, we still need to pay the renewing of license worth P 1,050.

After we paid the fee, we went back to Window 16 (I love Window 16!), the only good thing that happened is that they opened Window 15 so that they can accommodate the long lane in Window 16.

I think I’m not going to renew my license again after three years. My first experience in renewing my license and hopefully not my last!. So much for Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Service.
